By-election: “Kaduna spoke loudly today” – APC’s chieftain mocks el-Rufa’i

APC’s chieftain mocks

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Ayekooto Akindele, has mocked former Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufa’i following the emerging outcome of the ongoing by-election in parts of the state.

ADC to EFCC

Although the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), is yet to announce official results, early returns suggest that the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), is leading.

El-Rufa’i had actively campaigned for the African Democratic Congress, (ADC), a party recently adopted by members of the coalition of opposition leaders.

Reacting to the emerging results, Ayekooto, in a post on his official X handle, alleged that el-Rufa’i plotted to “grab power in Kaduna State”.

According to him, “El-Rufa’i’s main calculation is to use the tribalistic anti-Tinubu coalition to grab power in Kaduna State so as to settle his envy scores with the people’s Governor Uba Sani.

“Unfortunately for him, Kaduna people said loudly today that UBA SANI IS THEIR LEADER”.

According to reports, some polling units and wards have released results of the by-election for the Chikun-Kajuru federal constituency in Kaduna State.

In Kufana Monday Market, Kufana Ward, Kajuru Local Government, PDP was reportedly leading with 45 votes, while APC had 13 votes. ADC came third in the polling unit, with only two votes.
